Ford and Hyundai, with two awards each, were the most successful manufacturers in the tenth edition of the Hispanic Motor Press Awards (HMPA), which has recognized the best 2020 model vehicles in 12 categories.
After testing around 250 varieties, the agency chose the products that best suit the needs of the Hispanic community in the United States, based on aspects such as design, conductive sensation, technology, safety, environmental impact and mechanical reliability.
“Since Hispanic consumers represent 25 percent of the growth in sales of new vehicles, we help them by pre-selecting these alternatives,” explained the founder and president of the Hispanic Motor Press Foundation, Ricardo Rodriguez-Long.
The jury was composed of an independent panel of Hispanic journalists and communicators, made up of about twenty members, among which was the editor in chief of Digital Trends in Spanish, Juan García.
The verification process included driving tests and verifiable data assessments. “We trust the selection and recommend any of the winning vehicles to the Hispanic community,” said Rodríguez-Long.
In addition to delivering annually the recognition of the motor world within the framework of the Los Angeles Auto Show, Hispanic Motor Press Foundation promotes cleaner, affordable mobility and tends to reduce greenhouse emissions and improve air quality.
To achieve its goal, this nonprofit organization promotes activities and events throughout the year from its headquarters in California with the Hispanic community residing in the United States.
