BMW says it sold 2.49M of BMW, Mini, and Rolls-Royce vehicles in 2018

The German automaker BMW said on Tuesday it achieved record sales of 2.49 million in sales of BMW, Mini, and Rolls-Royce vehicles last year.

“BMW Group achieved record sales in 2018. With 2.49 million vehicles, the BMW Group is the world’s leading premium automotive company for 15 consecutive years,” said Chief Executive Harald Krueger.

Daimler has not yet published the annual sales figures for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, so it is unclear if the BMW brand beat Mercedes-Benz in terms of sales in 2018.

Sales of BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce cars were higher than those of Mercedes-Benz in 2017.
