Advocacy & Policy

A strong advocate for Australian retail, ARA is the first port of call for government, regulators, media and other industry participants. The ARA develops retail policy through committees, working groups, and input from stakeholders on key issues affecting Australian retailers. Working closely with industry and advocacy partners, the ARA analyses key issues, collects evidence and presents strong cases to secure beneficial change. The ARA’s aim is to seek out challenges, stoppages and outmoded regulation that limit the business performance of our members and the wider retail industry.
