Mexico’s main airline, Aeroméxico, announced the resumption of some flights to Asia, Europe, the United States, Canada and other Latin American countries, beginning May 1st.
The airline revealed the modifications to its routes in a statement released on its website on Tuesday night, in which it states that “the safety of its customers and collaborators is the most important thing” for the company.
For this reason, “it will continue to implement the necessary preventive measures and make adjustments to the operation,” said the company, which also announced adjustments in the frequencies of national flights and the suspension of the operation to some local destinations.
Aeroméxico registered a net loss of 2,508 million pesos (US $ 105.3 million) in the first quarter of 2020, doubling that of the same period of the previous year, hit by a weak economy and the coronavirus epidemic, which caused the closure of borders and a collapse in demand for flights.
